Mischeivous Will

We have really enjoyed being back in Texas and finally all back under the same roof. Will got to spend the week with his Uncle Jake, which he enjoyed, and he is spending some quality time with Zoe again.

Will continues to be as mischievous as ever. His new activities include trying to reach knobs on the stove, opening drawers above the cabinets, trying to get into the dishwasher, trying to climb on furniture (like bookshelves and dressers), pulling things off the kitchen table and pushing all of the chairs to the kitchen table all around the kitchen. He often attempts to stand up underneath the table but he is too tall and he hits his head. He is a handful!

He can stand now without holding on to anything but I haven't seen him do it for longer than ten seconds or so. Once he realizes he's standing he plops down. His balance is getting very good and I think that walking is right around the corner.

Will is getting much better at eating people food too. He is getting more used to whole milk, though I am still diluting it with formula. He is doing much better with new textures and lumpy food. Today I peeled and cut up a peach for him and he had a good response. He ate a few pieces. I also gave him watermelon, which he didn't seem to like as much right away. As far as finger foods go, he enjoys eating cheese, any type of bread, crackers and his yogurt melts. He is still just practicing with most of these foods though. His real nutrition still comes from baby food and milk. His favorite food is still yogurt. His eyes light up whenever he sees me open one of his yogurts.

He has had a few fussy days since we've been back in Texas. I think we are moving into toddler territory. He has starting to throw little fits when he is stopped from doing something he wants to do (usually something dangerous). We try to redirect him and distract him with something else but he has a good memory and is very persistent. His fits seem to get longer each day. He doesn't like it when we get in the way of his plans!

He actually has been whistling lately too. It's very cute! Enjoy the pictures below!
