Trouble with a capital "W"

As you can see, Will can now get around the entire house and explore anything within reach. I followed him with the camera to document the mischief. He has learned how to open doors (that aren't shut all the way) and cabinets that aren't locked. He got into the pantry, a lower kitchen cabinet, the dog bowl and other trouble. He's a handful! In related news, he refuses to be confined any longer. Gone are the days when he would entertain himself in one place. He fusses every time he is put in his swing, playpen or activity center. He wants to be free to roam and it's exhausting!

We do have some good news- since the last post, Will dropped one of his night feedings and we've even had three nights of sleeping through the entire night! He wakes every now and then wanting a pacifier that he's spit out, but he doesn't need to eat. The downside of that is that it is harder to get him all of the formula and food he needs just during the day. He hasn't been eating as much as usual lately. We're hoping it's just a phase (but that he keeps sleeping through the night).

He has been a little cranky lately. He has at least one tooth on top about to poke through and it's making him really fussy. To make matters worse, the weather has been really bad and we've been cooped up in the house all week. Crossing my fingers the weather turns nicer and we can get out for our walks. We both need them!

He is still very chatty, although I haven't heard anything new since last post. He has been experimenting with volume- sometimes he is very shrill and piercing and other times, like today, he whispers. Today he was whispering "da da" all day. I'm working on trying to get him to say "ma ma" but nothing like that yet.

That's about all that is new. We've gone back to basics on the food since he's having trouble eating enough. We did do cantaloupe, which he likes, and I have some plums to try in the next couple of days. We're looking forward to a three day weekend with David- he has President's Day off on Monday. And, of course, we'll have a fun Valentine's Day with our little Valentine! Enjoy the pictures of all the mischief below!
